Dr. Stephanie Winske

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr.Stephanie Winske is a Wisconsin native, having grown up in Plover (anyone remember Rainbow Falls Waterpark?). She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology.

For the past three years, Dr.Winske has been working as a busy veterinarian at another AAHA accredited hospital (American Animal Hospital Association). However, while there her heart and mind continued to reminisce on the fond memories she had while doing an externship during veterinary school at the Cat Care Clinic. Overtime, she knew there was no question that she wanted to focus her career on the highest quality feline medicine and surgery. In 2021, she returned to Cat Care Clinic to join the team and work alongside like-minded people who love cats as much as she does. She loves how dedicated CCC clients are to the health and wellbeing of their small furry ones.

Dr.Winske has had a lucky life full of cats. “During college, I adopted a cranky old senior cat that was going to be euthanized. I got him the veterinary care he needed for his painful dental disease and arthritis, and I distinctly remember the day he started purring again. Melted my heart.” She currently has two littermates, Nova (nicknamed “Small” since she’s so petite and dainty) and Jura (a tortiseshell with full “tortitude” who is known to roll right off the bed when excited with attention).

When Dr.Winske isn’t working with your cats or her own cat “pies”, she loves yoga, meditation, spirituality, and appreciating kindness and seeing good in people. Her favorite band is Walk the Moon.

Her tips of wisdom for cat people? “Treat a cat with respect, and they will do the same for you.”
