Cat Care Clinic is proud to announce the addition of Dr.Devan Leistikow to our team of devoted feline veterinarians. “Dr.Devan” is a recent University of Wisconsin – School of Veterinary Medicine graduate who had her heart and mind set on specializing on feline care since long ago.
From working as an intern at the Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue and Education Center in Rock Springs, WI, to being president of the UW-SVM Feline Club, to working as an associate veterinarian at another feline-only hospital, Dr.Devan was destined to help care for our patients of Cat Care Clinic. She is passionate about domestic and exotic cat welfare, high quality feline care and handling, and supporting the bond between cats and their people.
Dr.Devan grew up with cats and has two of her own, her black semi-feral buddy “Sega” and her quintessential tortie “Pumpkin”, who is full of tortitude and attached to her hip. She also shares her home with two rescue dogs, 12 snakes, 3 frogs, a leopard gecko, beta fish, axolotl, and a monitor lizard!
Understandably, Dr.Devan spends most of her free time caring for her pets! She’s also interested in video games and enjoys watching Let’s Plays on Youtube and Twitch. With several years of training as an art student, she also relaxes by digital drawing and crafts.
“I love that every day I get to see cats at CCC. As a bonus, I get to work with other cat-fanatics in an AAHA accredited clinic.” – Dr.Devan
