Frequently Asked Questions

Does my cat have to be a patient of Cat Care Clinic to board?
No, we will happily board all cats, whether they normally see us or another veterinarian for medical care.  We do, however, examine every cat that is new to our service prior to boarding since we are a medical facility.  This is to assure there are no surprises or special things we need to watch for while your cat is our responsibility.
Does my cat need vaccinations to board there?

We recommend all cats be up-to-date on feline distemper and rabies vaccines.  You may provide us with documentation of these or in most cases they can be administered when we see your cat for boarding if they are due.

Should I bring my own food and toys?

Yes, please bring what your cat enjoys to eat at home to keep his routine similar.  This includes dry foods, canned foods, and favorite treats.  We encourage one or two favorite blankets, beds, or toys as your cat’s comfort from home.

What if my cat gets sick while boarding?
Our attention to your cat while in our care is meticulous.  We record quantities fed and eaten at least twice daily.  We also monitor litter box habits, overall behavior, and weight.  A certified veterinary technician or veterinarian oversees daily routine of cats and addresses concerns early if they arise.  We communicate in any preferred way (calls, emails, or texts) with owners as the need arises.
Can you do other things my cat needs while boarding?
Yes, it is a great time to get your cat caught up on routine needs, address dental care needs, and even perform any grooming needs while in the clinic.  We are happy to discuss any requests and review what your cat may be due for.
